I will literally ALWAYS reblog this. Ladies, we aren’t the only ones who feel societal pressure.
I posted about this a couple days ago.
No but we’re the only ones who get told that our entire self worth is in our appearance so no it’s not just as hard (And that’s before we even take race into account).
Show me where white dudes have it as hard as women? especially when that woman isn’t white and is dark skin.
Walk in my shoes and then come back and tell me how shit is fucking equal. Fucking idiots. white men are fucking idiots. I wish you lot would shut the hell up for ever.
When white men starting going through the same shit as women like me..fuck! i still won’t give a rats ass about you because you dicks heads have fuck all to say when society decided to crucify Black women for existing. Fucking no one had shit to say when we’re getting called manly and blamed for everything wrong in the world on the reg.
I’d fucking love if i had it “just as hard” as a white dudes. I could be mediocre as fuck and not have to worry about so much shit.
OH LMFAO HE’S ONE OF THOSE “NO h8” PEOPLE TOO
I AM SCREAMING
The above essay is a shining example of why we have it just as hard. When we voice our problems, they get shut down by people like that woman. We’re told to oppress our emotions, and also told that’s stupid. We’re automatically rapists and pedophiles if we walk alone at night, when women don’t realize men can be raped and molested too. We don’t always think about sex. We get yelled at, thrown down and beaten, but society thinks we can handle it. Women sales associates can refuse to conduct business with men and avoid charges of discrimination. Women can whisper for help and get it instantly. Men are told to deal with it.
If someone thinks, feels, believes, says that they are suffering, who are you to tell them that they’re not? You know this man’s race and his sex. You do not know his life. You do not know what he may or may not go through on a daily basis. Just because he’s white and male, it doesn’t make his suffering any less valid than someone else. DO NOT think you can tell this man that he doesn’t suffer just because he is a “white dude”. We are all human. We all suffer in our own ways, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic class, nationality, etc.
I can’t speak for this guy individually, but in general, yes, it is so much harder to be Barbie than Ken and if you say otherwise you clearly don’t understand the struggles.
